The Raft, Canopy and Stars, Essex — interiors and cabin photography on the water

The Raft floats, moored out on its own stretch of water in the Essex reedbeds, with smoke curling from the chimney and a wood-fired hot tub right on the deck.

I shot it at every time of day it deserved: golden hour steam rising off the hot tub as the sun dropped behind the trees, a table laid for two on the water's edge with a rising crescent moon overhead, and quieter, slower moments too — heirloom tomatoes and carrots fresh for the kitchen, wellies and binoculars kicked up on the dock with a book and a drink in hand.

Wild Toller is all about the outdoor moments: a wood-fired hot tub and fire pit tucked into rolling Dorset countryside, a cosy glamping-style interior glowing with fairy lights and warm rust tones, and a striking ochre-tiled bathroom with brass fittings that's as much a design feature as the view. A properly characterful cabin, inside and out.

Over at Penny Farm, it's a simpler, softer story — a pared-back wooden cabin interior, an outdoor wood shower, and quiet styling details like a sketchbook left open on the bed and scallop shells plated up with butter and herbs. Slow mornings, good light, and that unmistakable Canopy and Stars charm.

Milton Farm, Canopy and Stars, Salisbury — Glamping photography & styling

Tucked under a canopy of trees near Salisbury, Milton Farm is less cabin, more full-blown safari camp — and it was an absolute joy to shoot and style.

Think an open-air kitchen strung with copper pans and a blackened kettle over the flame, a shelf of apothecary bottles and dried flowers, mismatched patterned plates stacked by the sink, and a canopied four-poster bed draped in burlap and sheepskin. Outside, Adirondack chairs circle the fire pit under strings of light, with a hot tub tucked just beyond the stretch tent.
